39/Smooth was recored in only 22 Hours, on December 29, 1989. Starting at 4:30 PM. It had only cost $600 to record.
This record was released on black vinyl, and green vinyl. The one on green vinyl wasn't the first pressing, but there were only 800 made, so it's pretty rare. Also, the real old versions of this record have the Lookout Laytonville adress on the back, later version have the Berkely adress on it.
