Black vinyl is the first pressing, pink is the second pressing. There's also a collectors edition on green vinyl (pressing of 10.000) and there's another green vinyl version with a white label. Then there's a "marble rainbow" vinyl, it's doesn't have a picture sleeve, same with the one on blue marble vinyl. Those last two are pretty rare, not many were pressed.
For both the cd and the LP, there are copies with Ernie on the back, and without Ernie on the back. The original was with Ernie but later pressings were made without Ernie. Re-issue of Dookie on black vinyl are made, those are without inserts. There are also bootlegs, Dookie on orange vinyl and such, those are not original reprise pressings! Beware.
